网上资源,  外语 Lee 发表于 2007/3/25 21:28:20 　 特邀专家： 王银泉教授   参考译文： “小心地滑”这么一个普普通通的标识，竟然被翻译成Caution!Wet Floor!这个标识译文也确实估计是在全国通行无阻，因为在所有场所都能看到：饭店、商场、车站、机场、码头、厕所……但这是一个不折不扣的译文，其中的Caution完全多余，也不符合英语表达习惯，因为既然是特地拿一块牌子，上面写几个字来提醒大家地面湿滑，那就是提醒大家小心的意思。这个“小心”通过这个牌子本身以及竖立牌子的这个行为就传递了信息，是不需要翻译出来的。而且，在英语中，Caution是从来不用于公示语的。还有，我们知道英语中有一个说法，叫做Wet Paint，译成中文就是“油漆未干”，当然也可以根据中文说法说成“小心！油漆未干！”而Wet Paint前面从来没有出现过Caution这个单词。Wet Floor和Wet Paint，行文结构难道不是一样的？此外，小心地滑”被翻译成Caution!Wet
