KAON2 is an infrastructure for managing OWL-DL and SWRL ontologies.
KAON2 provides the following features:
(1)An API for programmatic management of OWL-DL and SWRL ontologies,
(2)A stand-alone server providing access to ontologies in a distributed manner using RMI,
(3)An inference engine for answering conjunctive queries (expressed using SPARQL syntax),
(4)A DIG interface, allowing access from tools such as Protete,
(5)A module for extracting ontology instances from relational databases.
