Yesterday I install ubuntu os,I think it is great,but I have too many problems with it,i even don't know how to input chinese ,so some friends blaim me speak too much "bird language",and now I search some info. about how to install chinese input in ubuntu,below is:1)run apt-get update and download some chinese packages,and I find a website which can support chinese ubuntu,that is much better ,because we can visit it very fast ,download too,so we need to modify a file named sources.list in /etc/apt/ ,the content we should modify it bo be:deb http://ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu/ dapper main restricted universe multiverse   deb http://ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu/ dapper-updates main restricted universe multi verse   deb http://ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu/ dapper-security main restricted universe mult iverse   deb http://ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu/ dapper-backports main restricted universe mul tiverse   deb http://ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu-cn/ dapper main restricted universe multiverse   and then, we run the command :sudo apt-get update2)Now we can install some chinese packages,the commands are :sudo apt-get install language-pack-gnome-zh sudo apt-get install language-pack-gnome-zh-base sudo apt-get install language-pack-zhsudo apt-get install language-pack-zh-base sudo apt-get install language-support-zh3)make sure the system support the chinese inputsudo apt-get install scimsudo apt-get install scim scim-modules-socket scim-modules-table scim-pinyin scim-tables-zh scim-input-padsudo sh -c " echo 'export XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM ; export GTK_IM_MODULE="scim" ; export QT_IM_MODULE="scim" ; scim -d ' > /etc/X11/Xsession.d/95xinput "sudo chmod 755 /etc/X11/Xsession.d/95xinputthe end,you can try itps:there is very serious problem with my network,so this work I finish very slowly,and thanks to the author who offer me so good info.

If some don't know how to install Chinese language support in Ubuntu,  an easy way to input chinese in your browser that  is install a plugin "fireinput" in Firefox.
