Bio & Photo Gallery I've recently joined the University of Southampton, having previously been involved with the Intelligent Software Agents Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to working at CMU, I spent five years as a Graduate Student at the Computing Scrience Department, University of Aberdeen, Scotland. My current research is focussed on Semantic Web Services and Agents, and their discovery (a list of current and past projects can be found here. Other research interests include Multi-Agent Systems, Information Retrieval systems and Machine Learning techniques. I've also a passing interest in graphics and typography. Outside the lab, my passions include literature, music, fine art, and dance. I once practiced Tai Chi Ch'uan and Shiatzu Massage, and long, long ago I used to shoot for the Aberdeen University Archery Team. Nowadays, it's just cycling, snowboarding, skydiving, and climbing, though for a while now I've been tempted to check out Extreme Ironing. Mebbie someday... Publications Main Publications List .
