DITA is a document creation and management specification that builds content reuse into the authoring process. Version 1.0 was approved as an OASIS Standard in June 2005. Members who wish to discuss the ballot for 1.1 may do so through the member-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org mailing list. The ballot will remain open until 31 July. http://www.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/200707/msg00007.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Annual OASIS event to be held in CA's historic English manor This year's OASIS Open Standards Forum in Europe will be held near London at the Ditton Manor, 29-30 Oct. Produced in partnership with the Butler Group, the event will focus on "Enabling Transformational Government Through Web Services and SOA." The 900-year-old Ditton Manor has housed such historic figures as Cardinal Wolsey, Anne Boleyn, and Queen Mary I. Now serving as the European headquarters for CA, the venue is a 15-minute taxi ride from Heathrow airport or 20 minutes by train from London. OASIS members and non-members are invited to attend this Forum, and sponsorship opportunities are available. http://events.oasis-open.org/home/forum/2007/venue ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Discussion list opens on e-government OASIS has created a new discussion list to explore ways to further the goals of the OASIS e-government community. Subscribers to the list will discuss possible new technical standards projects and the formation of a Member Section to coordinate e-government activities. This discussion list may remain open for up to 90 days. Anyone, including OASIS members and non-members, may subscribe in order to discuss the merits of this proposal and potential next steps. http://www.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/200707/msg00010.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Public review begins for SAML 2.0 Errata The OASIS Security Services TC has approved the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) version 2.0 Errata as a Committee Draft and submitted it for public review.
