WS-Federation extends identity management to enable federations of trust across organizations. Congratulations to the TC co-chairs, Chris Kaler of Microsoft and Michael McIntosh of IBM, and to all TC participants including representatives of Active Endpoints, CA, Nortel, Novell, Red Hat, Skyworth TTG, SOA Software, TIBCO, VeriSign, U.S. Veterans Health Administration, and others for this accomplishment. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/200905/msg00007.html ------------------------------------------------------------------- Balloting for versions 1.1 of the SOAP-over-UDP, Web Services Dynamic Discovery (WS-Discovery), and Devices Profile for Web Services (DPWS) specifications will be held 16-30 June. The specifications were developed by the Web Services Discovery and Web Services Devices Profile (WS-DD) TC, which includes representatives of Foundational Sponsors, IBM and Microsoft, and Sponsors, CA, Novell, Progress Software, Red Hat, Ricoh, Software AG, and others. IMI aims to allow users to manage their digital identities as "Information Cards" and use them to access online services. Developed by the Emergency Management TC, CAP allows a consistent warning message to be disseminated simultaneously over many different warning systems, thus increasing warning effectiveness while simplifying the warning task.
