Children were asked to make sentences with words chosen by the teacher.

The teacher smiled when Jack raised his hand to participate, and she gave him the words 'defeat,' 'deduct,' 'defense,' and 'detail.'

Jack stood seriously for a while with all eyes focused on him awaiting his reply, then he said:

''Defeat of deduct went over defense before detail!''

Where is Jesus

A Sunday School teacher of preschoolers was concerned that his students might be a little confused about Jesus Christ, so he wanted to make certain they understood that the birth of Jesus occurred for real.

He asked his class, "Where is Jesus today?"

Steven raised his hand and said, "He's in heaven."

Mary was called on and answered, "He's in my heart."

Little Johnny, waving his hand furiously, blurted out, "I know it, I know it! He's in our bathroom!!!"

Suddenly the whole class got quiet, staring at the teacher, stunned, waiting for a response. The teacher was completely at a loss for a few seconds. Finally, he gathered his wits and asked Little Johnny how he knew this.

Little Johnny answered, "Well, every morning my father gets up, he bangs on the bathroom door, and yells, 'Jesus Christ!!, are you still in there!!??'"
