--  [求助]难住外教的句子，您知道如何翻译吗？
我遇见了这样一个句子，觉得它的修饰限制关系很难确定，这样就不知道翻译是否准确。因此我向我认识的一名外教求助，可是他也说不清。各位同志可有高见？
原句如下：
Nor, if regularity and conformity to a standard pattern are as desirable to the scientist as the writing of his papers would appear to reflect, is management to be blamed for discriminating against the "odd balls" among researchers in favor of more conventional thinkers who "work well with the team".

这里是倒装.
恢复语序是这样:
if regularity and conformity to a standard pattern are as desirable to the scientist as the writing of his papers would appear to reflect,
如何科学家。。。。，那么
nor is management to be blamed for discriminating against the "odd balls" among researchers in favor of more conventional thinkers who "work well with the team".
管理人员青睐。。。而反对。。也不应受到责备。

Nice to hear from you after such a long absence. About the sentence, it is too long and complicated for normal human consumption. Suggest rewriting it in shorter versions, using the neither/nor sentence structure.

If you want to keep this sentence, you should diagram it....subject, verb, etc.
But, better is to throw it ouit and start over with a more reasonable sentence structure.

在我看来，问题主要在于Nor作什么讲，应该放在什么地方。
经过一系列请教和研究，我觉得按照管理员同志所说，该句还原为简单结构后Nor放在主句部分是合适的。不过它的意思说成“也不”呢，还是就把它当作“not”。我在向外籍教员约翰提出的细节问题中提到了这个，但是也没有什么有效的回答。

我感觉这个句子似乎并不完整（省略句？），但是原文确实是这样写的。

令我困惑的是It doesn't help 到底管到哪？and 之前还是that后面都管，如果都管又该怎么翻译呢？

另外，貌似 rations 应该是 nations，否则不太通。
