我国科学家成功研制出计算机实用化手语识别系统

新华网北京3月20日电：计算机不再盲、聋、哑，而是能够看、听、说。中国科学院计算技术研究所20日向全国1000多所聋校捐赠价值约千万元的手语合成系统。新近研制成功的这套系统使计算机成为一位“翻译”，帮助聋哑人和正常人进行无障碍沟通，实现人机和谐。
捐赠仪式20日在北京市第二聋校举行。北京市8所聋校的教师代表全国所有聋校接受了这套系统。
在863计划、国家自然科学基金委、北京市科委等的支持下，中国科学院计算技术研究所智能人机交互课题组多年来积极从事多功能感知技术的研究，这种技术是集语音、体势、情感于一体的先进人机接口技术，在人和机器之间实现自然交互。中国手语合成系统就是这种技术的综合应用系统，为聋人用手语与正常人交流提供了可能。

CCTV.com消息(新闻联播)：近年来，我国在大力推进无障碍设施建设的同时，努力推动残疾人在信息交流方面的无障碍，取得了显著成绩。
国家对使残疾人能与健全人一起分享社会发展的物质、精神文明成果给予了高度重视。中科院计算机研究所等高等科研机构专门立项开发盲人计算机、聋人手语软件等项目，并取得了成果。他们研发的盲人计算机软件具有语音导航功能，可以帮助盲人完成上机的每一步操作，听取想要的信息，以“听电脑”彻底替代“看电脑”，而聋人则可以通过手语识别系统与不懂手语的健全人进行自由交流。
目前，我国已经有26个省级电视台设立了电视手语栏目和新闻手语解说，越来越多的电视节目配加了字幕，200多家电台开辟了适合残疾人参与的广播节目，大部分省级以上的图书馆开办了盲人有声读物室，可供盲人、聋哑人使用的电脑、手机等高科技产品 |
